TOUR 21
Friction Collective for Cure Leukaemia (The Tour 21, NBC Sport).
Shot on location across all 21 stages of the Tour de France route, 2024 & 2025.
The Tour 21 sees a team of amateur cyclists, take on the world’s most gruelling cycling challenge by riding the full Tour de France route, one week ahead of the professionals. The team follows the official route and rides over 3,500km in just 21 days – all to raise over £1,000,000 for Cure Leukaemia, the official charity partner of the Tour de France.
Shooting and editing on the road as we traveled alongside the riders, the Friction Collective team created a series of short daily reels and 3x10 min weekly short films to give an insight into the riders experiences and their personal reasons for taking part. The films TX on NBC sport each week along the official race coverage and was distributed across their social media and YouTube channels..
Having been received so well in 2024 we were invited back in 2025 to document the event again. Learning from our previous year’s experience we were super proud of the depth of emotion and stories we were able to capture the second time around.
